Day 1 | Hometown - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam Top

Today, board your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam.  

Day 2 | Arrive Ho Chi Minh City (D)Top

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be met by your tour guide at the airport and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon, acclimatize yourself with a walking tour around downtown Saigon - the biggest city in Vietnam. Welcome dinner with Vietnamese dishes in the evening.

Day 3 | Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)Top

Full day sightseeing tour of the most famous and important landmarks of Saigon: The Former Presidential Palace, War Remnant Museum, Old Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. Afterwards, visit Cho Lon, Saigon's China Town with the famous Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau Pagoda. A short walk from Ben Thanh market along bustling streets, passing by Rex hotel, City Hall and Opera House to close your day in the evening.

Day 4 | Ho Chi Minh City (Mekong Delta) (B,L,D)Top

A whole day exploration of the Mekong Delta with the unique lifestyle of inhabitants living along rivers and channels. Travel overland to My Tho and take a boat cruise along rivers and canals through villages. Visit fruit and bonsai gardens, a candy workshop and local homes. Enjoy local delicacies, fruit and traditional folk music. Back to city after tour.

Day 5 | Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang-Hoi An (B,L,D)Top

Take a morning flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, take a coach to visit Cham Sculpture Museum and Marble Mountains before proceeding to Hoi An. On foot visit the World Heritage Site of Hoi An. A peaceful wandering through the narrow streets with centuries-old architecture, combining the influences of many exotic trading communities such as the Chinese and Japanese. Visit Hoi An Museum, Old Merchant’s Houses, Assembly Hall, Japanese Covered Bridge and the lively boat pier near the market.

Day 6 | Hoi An - Hue (B,L,D)Top

Morning free for some last minute shopping before leaving behind the peaceful and charming Hoi An. Travel overland northwards along highway 1A, passing Hai Van Pass, Lang Co beach to Hue. Stops for bird’s eye-view and photogenic scenery along the way. Arrive in Hue in time for a romantic boat cruise upstream Perfume River. Pay a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, the Buddhist center of the region and spiritual symbol of Hue.

Day 7 | Hue (B,L)Top

Being the capital of Vietnam from the beginning of the 19th Century, Hue is famous for its historical, cultural relics, unique eastern architecture, arts and religion revealed in royal palaces and tombs, temples, music and performances, for which Hue was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Today’s tour includes the Imperial Citadel, Purple Forbidden City, Royal Palaces and Temples. Later on, continue the day with a short drive to King Tu Duc’s Tomb, a replica of the royal court palace, built a long time before the King’s death. The architecture here expresses the King’s disappointment and helplessness towards the French invasion of the country.

Day 8 | Hue - Hanoi (B,L,D)Top

Fly to Hanoi in the morning. You will be met by your tour guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Take an orientation tour of Hanoi in the afternoon including an introduction to Hanoi’s Central Area, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the Opera House. Enjoy a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter of Hanoi known as the 36 guild streets, along narrow and busy roads with hundreds of years old houses, shops, cafés. The highlight of the evening is a Water Puppet Performance, a traditional form of Vietnamese folk art created and performed by farmers of the Red River Delta in their villages’ festival in the past.

Day 9 | Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Hanoi (B,L)Top

Morning sightseeing of Hanoi, visit the city's outstanding tourist sites such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One-pillar Pagoda. Then depart to Ninh Binh Province. Visit Hoa Lu - The Acient Capital and the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King. Driving towards Tam Coc – the "Halong bay on land”. Explore country life of Vietnam by passing through villages and rice fields. Visit Bich Dong Pagoda - one of the famous pagoda in Ninh Binh Province. After lunch, sit back and relax whilst the a local villager rows a small boat through the rice fields and mountain ranges, visit 3 caves and contemplate the beauty of the naturallandscapes. Back to Hanoi in late afternoon.

Day 10 | Hanoi - Halong (B,L,D)Top

Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay where you arrive around noon. Board a traditional wooden junk and begin your exploration of magical Halong Bay, one of Southeast Asia’s premier tourist destinations. An excellent, fresh seafood lunch and dinner will be served on the boat. Overnight on board the comfortable and charming junk.

Day 11 | Halong - Hanoi - Luang Prabang, Laos (B,L,D)Top

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy aquamarine water of the bay at its best. After breakfast and early swim, the junk continue to cruise quietly through spectacular limestone formations of Halong bay. Enjoy this more isolated bay’s spectacular and unique islands of the bay. Lunch on board and disembarkation. Transfer directly to Hanoi airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Dinner in Luang Prabang. Overnight at the hotel.

The day starts early by witnessing long lines of barefoot monks in procession through the streets of Luang Prabang. Then take a Mekong River trip on motorboat to the holy caves Pak Ou, a mystical pilgrimage site above the river. For over five centuries, people of all status as kings, princes, merchants, and peasants have come to this cave to worship and have left behind more than 3,000 Buddha statues. Return to the city in the evening.

Day 14 | Luang Prabang - Siem Reap, Cambodia (B,L,D)Top

Free time till the moment of transfer to the airport for flight to Siem Reap. Visit to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Giant faces of Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace, Terrace of Leper. Sunset from Phnom Bakheng, one of two hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where you will have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat.

Day 15 | Siem Reap (B,L,D)Top

In the morning, explore the Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei, Sras Srang, Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Thevoda temples. In the afternoon, tour the most famous Angkor Wat. The temple complex cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

Day 16 | Siem Reap - Phnom Penh (B,L,D) Top

Morning tour to the Pour Krom Village, walking through this lovely local village to experience how local people live, visit to a morning local market and enjoy an ox-cart ride before transferring to Chong Knies village to have a boat trip on Tonle Sap Great Lake. Fly to Phnom Penh in the afternoon. Check into hotel followed by dinner.

Day 17 | Phnom Penh (B,L,D)Top

Morning visit to the Genocide Toul Sleng Museum, the famous Cheoung Ek Killing Fields and Russian Market. Afternoon, visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Central Market.

Day 18 | Phnom Penh - Hometown (B)Top

Go to the airport and board your flight home.
