Day 1 | Hometown - Hanoi, Vietnam Top

Today, board your flight to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Day 2 | Arrive Hanoi (D)Top

You are met on arrival at Noi Bai Airport, transferred to hotel for check in. A tour by cyclo in the afternoon around the Old Quarter Streets to discover the local people’s life. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 | Hanoi - Halong (B/L/D)Top

A morning sightseeing tour of Hanoi includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. After visiting the Temple of Literature which is known as Vietnam’s first university, drive to Halong.

Day 4 | Halong - Hanoi (B/L/D)Top

Take a five-hour boat trip to visit Ha Long Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. This picturesque “Dragon Descending To The Sea” Bay has 1,969 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Visit a grotto before enjoying your seafood lunch on board. Drive back to Hanoi. This evening, enjoy the Water Puppets Show, a unique Vietnamese traditional art.

Day 5 | Full Day to Hoa Lu & Tam Coc (B/L)Top

Transfer to Tam Coc, a boat trip on a river through “the Ha Long on land” - the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations – to visit three grottoes of Tam Coc. On the way back to Hanoi, stop at Hoa Lu, the sight of Vietnam's capital during 10th and 11th century. Visit Dinh and Le Temples that were built in the 17th century.

Day 6 | Hanoi - Hue (B/L/D) Top

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue. Upon arrival we visit the Imperial Citadel and the Royal Mausoleum of Tu Duc. Then we enjoy a boat trip on the Perfumes River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Stroll in Dong Ba market (if time permits) before transfer back to hotel.

Day 7 | Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B/L/D) Top

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Khai Dinh Royal Mausoleum. Then travel to Hoian through Da Nang.
The scenic 4-hour drive via Hai Van Pass offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages (or we can choose the shorter way by driving through the tunnel). Visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountains with beautiful grottoes and temples before arriving in Hoi An.

Day 8 | Hoi An (B/L/D)Top

We take a morning visit to Hoi An, which was originally one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Visit Hoi An Town with its low tiled houses of Chinese appearance, Japanese covered bridge, brightly painted temples and pagodas making it one of Vietnam's most delightful places. Afternoon: free time to enjoy at your leisure on the beach or shopping.

Day 9 | Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) (B/L/D) Top

After breakfast, transfer to the airport of Da Nang for flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Pick up on arrival and transfer to city center. An afternoon city tour of Ho Chi Minh City includes the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office, a lacquer-ware factory, and the bustling Chinatown with Binh Tay Market. Thien Hau Pagoda is not to be missed as well.

Day 10 | Full Day to Tay Ninh & Cu Chi (B/L) Top

In the morning, depart for Tay Ninh, the headquarters of Cao Dai region founded on 1926. Upon arrival we attend the fantastic Mid-day Mass when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism. In the afternoon, travel about 30km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi town. Cu Chi Tunnels were used as the base from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The Cu Chi tunnels consist of more than 200 kilometers of underground tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The tunnels are between 0.5 to 1 meter wide, just enough for a person to crawl along. Back to Hanoi after tour.

Day 11 | Full Day to My Tho & Ben Tre (B/L/D)Top

In the morning, travel to My Tho. Take a Boat Tour downstream to Ben Tre, where you have the opportunity to discover the local people’s life in Mekong Delta with popcorn and pop-rice workshop, rice paper mill, coconut candy mill and fruit gardens. Bike riding or transfer by horse carriage on village road. Lunch at a local restaurant followed by a fruit tasting. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City after tour.

Day 12 | Ho Chi Minh City - Hometown (B) Top

After breakfast, transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for departure flight.
