Day 1 | Hometown - Beijing Top

Fly to Beijing from hometown. Cross the International Date Line.

Day 2 | Arrive Beijing (D)Top

Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China. Greeted by your tour guide at the airport arrival hall and then get transferred to the hotel. A welcome dinner will be arranged for you in the evening (if your flight lands before 5 pm local time)

Day 3 | Beijing (B, L, D)Top

Beijing which has served as the capital of five dynasties over a period of 800 years. Start your city tour with a visit to the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Next stop is the Forbidden City, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient imperial structures ever built in the world. In the afternoon, continue to the Temple of Heaven. In the evening, enjoy a fabulous Peking Roast Duck dinner.

*Optional Chinese martial art show tonight—“The Legend of Kung-fu” at your own expense.

Day 4 | Beijing (B, L, D)Top

The highlight today is a tour of the astonishing Great Wall (at Juyong Pass). After lunch, see skilled artisans at work at a Cloisonné Factory. Later, visit the Changling Exhibition Hall of the Ming Tombs. Return to the city, walk along the Qianmen (Front Gate) Street and then have an up-close view of the beautiful Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, both of which are national stadiums built for the 2008 Olympics. Afterward, visit one of largest Jade Centers in Asia today to learn the Chinese jade culture and shop for authentic jade souvenirs. After dinner, enjoy the superb Chinese Acrobatic Show.

Day 5 | Beijing (B, L)Top

In the morning, tour the exquisite Summer Palace (Imperial Garden), the largest ancient preserved garden in China followed by a shopping visit to the renowned Chinese Herbal Institute- Tong Ren Tang. After lunch, you’ll have your afternoon free to explore the city by yourself.

Day 6 | Beijing - Xi'an (B, L, D)Top

Fly to Xi’an, the capital for eleven dynasties over a period of more than 2,000 years. Tour the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum and see the life-sized defending army to the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Visit an Art Ceramics Factory followed by the special Imperial Dumpling Banquet Dinner and traditional Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show in the evening.

Day 7 | Xi'an (B, L, D)Top

Visit the Shanxi Provincial Historical Museum in the morning. Enjoy a local special noodle lunch and watch an interesting Hand-pull Noodle Making Demonstration. After lunch, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the city. Walk along the Ancient City Wall, one of the largest and most complete ancient military defense systems in the world. Stroll through the lively Muslim Quarter to visit the Grand Mosque and explore the Islamic food market.

Day 8 | Xi'an - Shanghai - Tongli Town - Suzhou (B, L, D)Top

A two-hour flight to Shanghai this morning. After arrival, travel by coach to Tongli Town, a quiet and beautiful ancient water town with more than 1,000 years history. Proceed to Suzhou after the tour. Suzhou has been praised as the “Paradise on Earth” since ancient times. Also known as “Venice of the East”, it was built around Grand Canal featuring world class gardens and silk products. Check into hotel followed by delicious local cuisine for dinner.

Day 9 | Suzhou - Wuxi (B, L, D)Top

After breakfast, take a cruise on the Grand Canal to view the life along China's golden waterway in its heyday. Tour the Liu Garden, one of the best four Chinese gardens and an UNESCO world heritage, then visit a Silk Spinning Mill where you will learn how silk is created from the mulberry-munching silkworms to produce thread and finest cloth. In the afternoon, travel by coach to Wuxi, a unique water village and a pearl situated in the center of China’s Yangtze Delta. Tour the Three Kingdom City movie base, a place to learn the historical period that was one of the bloodiest in Chinese history but also has been greatly romanticized in the cultures of China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam. Taste classic Lake Tai cuisine for dinner.

Day 10 | Wuxi - Hangzhou (B, L, D)Top

This morning, we’ll have a tour to the Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Spot. The Grand Buddha there is one of the largest Buddha statues in China and also in the world while the Fan Palace is an amazing showcase of Chinese Buddhist arts of engraving, painting, mural and architecture. Visit the Freshwater Pearls Farm and then travel to Hangzhou by coach. Check into hotel upon arrival and then enjoy the special West Lake-flavor dinner.

Day 11 | Hangzhou - Shanghai (B, L, D)Top

Have a relaxing cruise tour on the magnificent West Lake; tour the Six Harmony Pagodas and then visit the Former Residence of Xueyan Hu, the richest Chinese businessman in late Qing Dynasty. Taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea before traveling back to Shanghai.

Day 12 | Shanghai (B, L)Top
Shanghai is the modern metropolis and commercial center of China. Walk along the Bund, a mile-long stretch along the Huangpu River. Continue to the Ming Dynasty Yuyuan Garden which is considered to be one of the four greatest Chinese gardens. Stroll along the bustling shopping district Nanjing Road before we enjoy the authentic Shanghai cuisines. In the afternoon, visit Shanghai Museum. Spend ample time there to see the ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade. Free time in the evening.
Day 13 | Shanghai - Wuhan (B, L, D)Top

Fly to Wuhan, the political, economic, financial, cultural, educational and transportation center of central China. Visit the Hubei Provincial Museum and enjoy an Ancient Concert Bells Orchestra Show. Stroll the Jiqing Street in the evening to experience a live show of local people’s life and taste typical local snacks

Day 14 | Wuhan - Yichang / Yangtze River Cruise Top
Travel to Yichang, the starting point of your Yangtze adventure. Tour the Ancient Battle Field of Three Kingdoms. Board the luxurious President Prime cruise ship in the evening and get an introduction on all trip events and activities onboard.
Day 15 | Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)Top

Your highly anticipated grand Yangtze River adventure starts this morning. The cruise ship’s first stop is at Sandouping. Disembark to visit the massive Three Gorges Dam Project, which is the world's largest dam. Re-board later as the ship sails through Xiling Gorge.

Day 16 | Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)Top

Transfer to small riverboat for a leisurely ride through the Shennong Stream. Re-board and sails through Wu Gorge and Qutang Gorge.

Day 17 | Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)Top

Today's shore excursion is at Fengdu, also called “Ghost City”, an interesting place to learn the Chinese Taoist culture.

Day 18 | Yangtze River Cruise - Chongqing - Guilin (B, L, D)Top

The grand Yangtze River Cruise portion of your tour ends upon arriving in Chongqing city this morning. Visit the Panda House and then fly to Guilin. Tour the Elephant Trunk Hill and Reed Flute Caves where you’ll be amazed by the extraordinary karst limestone formations. Enjoy local Minority Dancing and Singing Show in the evening

Day 19 | Guilin - Yangshuo (B, L, D)Top

Enjoy a relaxing cruise tour along the Li River while having lunch on board. Arrive in Yangshuo Village in the afternoon. Walk along the 1,400 years old West Street and then explore the beautiful Yangshuo local village.

* Optional Tour tonight- “Impression Liu San Jie”, a large scale ethnic show over the Li River

Day 20 | Yangshuo - Guilin - Hong Kong (B)Top

Free time in the morning to explore beautiful Yangshuo at leisure. Transfer back to Guilin and fly to Hong Kong in the afternoon. Get transferred to your hotel and then enjoy your free time.

Day 21 | Hong Kong (B)Top

Hong Kong is the financial center, gourmet and shopping paradise of Asia. Enjoy a half day Hong Kong Island Tour in the morning visiting Victoria Peak, Stanley Market and Aberdeen Fishing Village. Free time in the afternoon to do some last minute souvenir and gift shopping.

Day 22 | Hong Kong - Hometown (B)Top

Transfer to the airport and fly back home. You’ll arrive home on the same day as you leave China.
