Day 1 - USA - Beijing
Fly to Beijing. Cross the Int'l Date Line.
Day 2 - Beijing
When you arrive in Beijing, the local representative will transfer you to hotel and the rest of the day is yours to explore and relax.
Day 3 - Beijing (B)
After breakfast, visit the Tiananmen Square, which is a city square in the centre of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen ("Gate of Heavenly Peace") located to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. Visit the Forbidden City, the former seat of the emperors throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a true architectural masterpiece and home to the National Palace Museum.

Day 4 - Beijing (B)
highlight is an excursion to the majestic Great Wall (Juyongguan), one
of the “Seven Wonders of the World”! Then tour the iconic “Beijing 2008
Olympic Center”; which includes the famous Bird's Nest and Water Cube.
Visit one of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia enroute. After lunch,
see skilled artisans work at a Cloisonné Factory. Tonight, you can
choose to attend an optional large scale dramatic musical "The Golden
Mask Dynasty" show (USD$50/person).
Day 5 - Beijing- Guilin (B)
Start your tour to the SUMMER PALACE, a former royal retreat and now a lovely oasis within the city of Beijing. Then visit a CHINESE HERBAL INSTITUTE to learn about traditional Chinese medicine.
Continue with optional tour to Wangfujing Snack Cultural Experience with lunch (USD$39). Stroll on Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is a unique and fruitful experience. The 810-meter walking street is packed with shops,stores,and restaurants including several big shopping malls.
Fly to Guilin tonight. Your tour guide will greet you at the airport arrival hall and then transfer you to your deluxe hotel for a good night's rest. With its name translating to " Forest of Sweet Osmanthus", Guilin has long been renowned for its unique scenery, amazing karst landscapes and rich ethnic cultures.
Day 6 - Guilin (B)
After breakfast, visit Rong Shan Lake Scenic Area. It is located in the center of Guilin city and is consisted of two lakes − Shan Lake on the east side of Yang Bridge and Rong Lake on the west. The Scenic Area includes a number of attractions around its shores, including pavilions, statues, the quaint 'Twin Bridges', the ancient South Gate and the 800-year-old banyan tree after
which the lake takes its name. Then, visit the Guilin Tea Research Institute to see tea plantation and learn knowledge about tea making process and tea ceremony. In the evening, you may join our optional Night Cruise of the Four Lakes (USD $50 per person), which also includes dinner and the Cormorant fishing demonstration.
Today, have free time to explore Guilin by your own or join our optional day trip to Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces (USD $115 per person). The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, between 600 to 800 metres above sea level. The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces are the culmination of both the profound wisdom and strenuous labor of the Zhuang people.
It is said, 'Where there is soil, there is a terrace', be it in the valley, with swift flowing river to the mountains summit with its swirling cloud cover, or from bordering verdant forest to the cliff walls. Even though the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces is large, it is made up of numerous patches no more than 1 mu (about 0.16 acres). The smaller ones like snails while the bigger one like towers. The outline is very smooth with gradients between 26 degrees and 35 degrees.
Head to Yangshuo after breakfast. Visit a silk store to learn silk production process and buy souvenirs on the way. Upon arrival, walk along the 1,400-year-old West Street of Yangshuo. After that, enjoy a relaxing rafting along the Li River and enjoy. Then, drive to a local village and visit a family to to get to know more about the life style of the local people.
You may enjoy an optional show tonight, Impression Liu San Jie, a large scale ethnic performance over the Li River, at your own expense (USD $50 per person).
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Shanghai. Transfer to hotel and free at leisure today.
Day 10 - Shanghai Departure (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight home.
As this is a sight-seeing and shopping tour, there are seven shopping excursions on this tour, and a minimum amount of time (60mins) must be spent at each shopping site. However, there is no obligation to purchase anything. For those who are not very keen on shopping, visit to shopping sites should be treated as cultural learning experiences s all the products including jade, silk, tea, etc are deeply ingrained in the Chinese culture and well worth learning.
